Rapid Re-housing Program

The goal of the program is to assist young adults who are at-risk of or who are already experiencing homelessness to reintegrate in the community by helping them obtain or maintain safe, affordable housing and by linking them to mainstream, community-based services they need.

Services Include:

  1. Working with a Life Coach/Navigator to develop a housing plan.
  2. Locating housing, paying application/credit check fees, first month’s rent and/or security deposits, providing moving assistance and facilitating landlord/tenant mediation.
  3. Linking youth with other community services, such as employment assistance, education, training, physical, mental, and/or chemical health services, child care, transportation assistance or legal services.
  4. Subsidizing rent – either one-time, or for short or medium terms. The rental unit lease agreement is in the assisted youth’s name.

Eligibility

  1. Participation in the Single Adult Coordinated Entry System (CES). Families will be referred to 211 or Family Solutions Center.
  1. Must have homeless verification and referral.
  1. Must have income.
  1. Must demonstrate the ability to sustain and maintain housing without further assistance once the subsidy ends.
